When it comes to symbolic meanings, the moon is the feminine energies of intuition and spirituality. It’s a more laid back feeling than the aggressive nature of the sun. This is showing that your intuition is working and as long as you heed it, it’s working well.
Listen to your internal voice and you will find that you’re not being led astray. If you’re getting this reversed, there is something your intuition is trying to tell you but you’re not listening. You might not be confident in your ability to really listen to that voice but something is off. Your entire situation is off.
In some cases, the moon will show the hidden fears and anxieties that are felt. If you’re drawn to the moon (I am), you might find that the first definition was more accurate. For some, it’s the hidden mysterious force in the universe. It can show what we are afraid of and it can be the same as the tower- negative up right and positive reversed.
One of the first rules I teach when I teach someone tarot is that meanings are personal. There are some universally accepted meanings, but they vary depending on how you feel.
When right side up in a love draw
Your intuition is working well. You have feelings about your situation or your partner and you’re in tune. Right now, if you’re a woman, you’re feeling more feminine and it’s making you more confident. You’re wanting to play the role right now of the nurturer and if you’re a man, you’re more in touch with your feminine side.
This can also be pointing out hidden insecurities that are coming out. Fear that you have been trying to hold in is trying to surface. You need to look at everything going on around that card to put the context together.
If this card comes up reversed in a love draw
You need to start listening to that inner voice. You need to stop ignoring or even collecting the red flags (they don’t make pretty decorations). Your intuition is screaming at you and you’re not listening to it.
This can also show that someone has been hiding things from you but they are finally coming out in the open. You felt that something was off and the veil was finally lifted from over your eyes.
If right side up in a career draw
To me, this is a good sign for any of the humanitarian or human centered careers. Since the moon does that the nurturing energies, this may be about a nurse, teacher, social worker, or other carer in your life. If you are wondering what career path to take and this comes up, look at how you feel about those paths. That may be the answer to your questioning.
If Reversed in a Career Draw
This can especially be found when you have someone in your workplace who you think is fake. If you feel someone may be going behind your back, backstabbing or just someone you can’t trust in general, look at how you feel when this card is coming up. You are feeling like you can’t trust someone and this is verifying that that is true and you can’t trust them.
